Beberapa temanku menerima surel (surat elektronik) dengan subyek HELP !!! atau semacamnya. Isinya ada yang langsung minta uang dan ada yang menunggu kita membalas imil baru dia minta uang.

Contoh surel yang langsung minta uang adalah seperti ini :

Bagi teman-teman yang menerima surel sejenis ini, sebaiknya diabaikan saja. Apalagi surel ini dalam bahasa Inggris, pasti bukan dari teman kita atau saudara kita.

Pernah kucoba untuk membalasnya dengan bahasa Indonesia dan dia ternyata menjawab dengan bahasa Indonesia hasil terjemahan Google Translate.

Ketika kujawab lagi dengan bahasa prokem ala Jogja, dia akhirnya bingung dan kembali menjawab dengan bahasa Inggris.

Beberapa ciri dari surel penipuan ini adalah sebagai berikut :

1. Alamat pengirim dan reply balasan tidak sama tetapi dibuat mirip. Misalnya alamat pengirim Jonni@yah.com alamat reply Joni@yah.com atau Jonni@yes.com

2. Jika surel dalam bahasa asing dan dijawab dengan bahasa Indonesia, maka jawabannya tetap bahasa asing.

3. Struktur tata bahasa cukup rapi dan tidak mencerminkan suasana yang seharusnya penuh kepanikan.

4. Silahkan tambahin kalau masih ada ciri lain.
